History of The Nippon Graphite Group

March,1919 Founded.Registered at Ikuta-ku,Kobe-shi,Hyogo-ken.
May,1920 Moved manufacturing facilities to Ishiyama,the present address of Ishiyama Plant.
August,1933 Moved Headquarters to Fukiai-ku,Kobe-shi,Hyogo-ken.
May,1939 Acquired Chorin Graphite Industries, a Korean firm. Abandoned it at the end of the war in 1945.
October,1943 Absorbed and merged with Koa Graphite Industries,Ltd. to form present Seta Plant.
March,1945 Headquarter facilities suffered war damage.
June,1948 Moved Headquarters to Ishiyama,the present location.
June,1952 Established Tokyo Sales Office in Arakawa-ku,Tokyo.
July,1957 Separated Sales division to establish Nippon Graphite Sales Co., Ltd. Entrusted all sales rights to the new company.
April,1968 Set up manufacturing sectors.
July,2004 Established Taipei Office in Taipei, Taiwan.
